Rencontre avec Kianoush Ramezani
Le lycée Joliot Curie à Rennes, a reçu le caricaturiste de presse iranien Kianoush Ramezani le vendredi 25 février 2011. Il est venu rencontrer les élèves de seconde européenne dans le cadre de l'opération "Renvoyé spécial". Organisée en lien avec la Maison des journalistes et le Clemi (Centre de liaison de l'enseignement et des moyens d'information), cette initiative avait pour objectif de sensibiliser les lycéens sur la liberté d’expression et le pluralisme dans les médias. Après avoir rappelé son parcours professionnel et les difficultés à exercer le métier de journaliste en Iran, Kianoush Ramezani a expliqué aux élèves le sens de certaines de ses caricatures. Attentifs aux explications données par leur invité, les lycéens ont fait preuve de curiosité en lui posant de nombreuses questions, entamant ainsi un véritable échange. Exilé en France et pris en charge par la Maison des journalistes à Paris, Kianoush Ramezani a fui son pays pour échapp...

The offices of a French satirical magazine burned early Wednesday morning, the day it was due to publish an issue with a cover appearing to make fun of Islamic law. The cover of the magazine, Charlie Hebdo, has a bearded and turbaned cartoon figure saying "100 lashes if you're not dying of laughter."

Geneva is hosting an International cartoon expo these days. "cartooning for peace" foundation starts this great expo with some cartoons about the Iranian green movement. the artworks of Kianoush Ramezani, are among them. in this way, the city of Geneva will remind the World of what happened and still happening in Iran. نمایشگاهی از برترین آثار کاریکاتور مطبوعاتی جهان در شهر ژنو گشایش یافت. در این نمایشگاه برخی از آثار کیانوش رمضانی با موضوع جنبش سبز ایران نیز به نمایش درآمده. بنیاد جهانی کاریکاتور برای صلح، شهرداری ژنو و کنفدراسیون سوئیس برگذارکنندگان این حرکت بزرگ هنری هستند. آثار به صورت تابلوهای بسیار بزرگ و درچرجاذبه ترین مرکز توریستی شهر ژنو نصب شده اند. این نمایشگاه تا ماه آینده در این مکان (کناره دریاچه ویلسون) برای بازدید عموم دایر خواهد بود
Interview de Kianoush Ramezani, initiateur et commissaire de l'exposition « L’Exil » à la Maison des Journalistes (3 mai – 3 Octobre)
Comment vous est venu l’idée de cette exposition ? Réaliser une exposition de dessins de presse était la meilleure chose que je puisse faire au regard de ma situation. J’ai donc suggéré le thème de l’exil à la Maison des Journalistes. J'ai ensuite contacté par mail des amis artistes, leur demandant de me dessiner et de m'envoyer leurs dessins sur le thème de l'exil. Après avoir reçu plus de 100 œuvres de 50 artistes, j’en ai finalement retenu 40. Je fus confronté au problème du lieu de l’exposition. Les locaux de la Maison des Journalistes étant trop exigus, on me proposa d’exposer sur les façades de l’établissement. Cette idée m’a immédiatement séduite et de là j’ai commencé à concevoir le design et la maquette de l’exposition. Avec ce concept, la partie extérieure du bâtiment de la Maison des Journalistes devient une galerie d’exposition, ce qui attire le regard et les passants tout en animant la façade. Haleh Sahabi's heart attack!
Activist dies in fight with intelligence officials during journalist father’s funeral. Haleh Sahabi, an activist and contributor to the magazine Chashm Andaz (Panorama), died in hospital after being hit hard in the stomach earlier today when she, fellow family members and friends resisted attempts by security officials to stop the funeral of her father, Ezatollah Sahabi, a leading opposition figure and onetime editor of the monthly Iran-é-Farda. the Islamic republic of Iran officially announced that her death was because of a heart attack!
Exile International Cartoon expo. May-October 2011, Paris
Founded and curated by Kianoush Ramezani, The former resident of La Maison des journalistes and renown cartoonist, this international expo, took place on May 3rd 2011, the World Press Freedom day, and brought together a hundred cartoons by some of the most talented cartoonists in the world. This touring exhibition started in the building of La Maison des journalistes in Paris with the official sponsorship and funds of Paris city Hall and then moved to several cities in France and Europe without its curator! The main Mission was to attract the media and public attention to the work performed by our non-profit organization. La Maison Des Journalistes helps exiled journalists who were forced to leave their country to escape persecutions. MDJ provide them with a housing solution and help them through the many difficulties they face at the time of their arrival in France.
